Terri Hartlove is a manager with Yetter Consulting Services, Inc. Prior to joining Yetter Consulting Services, Terri was overseeing the sales and use tax compliance within the financial leasing organization of De Lage Landen Financial Services. She managed nexus and registration, remittance, and reconciliation for over $110 Million is sales and use tax per year. Her expertise included strategic program and contract review for regulation compliance. Ensuring minimal financial risk, operation tax risk, and exposure for the company were always a primary focus with regard to the preparation and remittance of all sales, use, rental, and leasing returns. Tools Terri used to manage and maintain the accounting and tax data were the Vertex sales tax products including Sales Tax L Series and Sales Tax Returns Q Series.

Terri garnered eleven years expertise from Vertex, Inc., and was part of the original training team. She was a technical trainer with Vertex, Inc. for ten years and was responsible for development of tax and technical course material. She also presented customer, internal, partner, and customized on-site classes. Terri taught classes in all the Vertex sales tax products including Sales Tax Q Series, Sales Tax L Series and Sales Tax Returns Q Series. She has a thorough knowledge of Vertex’s sales and use tax products and the Vertex/SAP training course.

She specializes in sales tax system analysis and implementation. Using system and business analysis skills, Terri designs and configures Vertex and Sabrix for use with various ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Seibel, JD Edwards and Baan. Working with programmers, she develops custom interfaces between accounting and sales tax systems. When applicable, she creates customized applications to assist with the technical tax process. Terri tests and troubleshoots various facets of the tax calculation process. She reviews taxation accuracy and constructs viable workflows for electronic return preparation. Terri also provides project specific training and documentation, which enables companies of various sizes to efficiently maintain their systems.

Throughout her career, Terri has affiliations with the Institute for Professionals in Taxations (IPT), the Equipment Leasing Association (ELA), and the Tax Executives Institute (TEI). She has also spoken at Round Table discussions and conferences for the International Society for Performance Improvement.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1986 and a Master’s of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1998. Terri is a Certified Technical Trainer, IBSTPI (International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction), a Certified Support Professional, SSPA (Service & Support Professionals Association).
