Implementation Manager

You’ve participated in a major ERP implementation – from requirements gathering through go live support. You’re knowledgeable about every phase, even if you’ve only been directly responsible for one or two. While you’re maniacal about the details, you work with the big picture in mind, including client goals, time and budget, as well as staff and project management. You are more of a business analyst than a technology/systems person so your finance background has been put to good use as you analyze order processes, sales tax calculations and their implications for the order flow process. Having been on the consultant side of the fence at least once in your career, you understand how to create and maintain successful client relationships.

Located in Chicago, we are a leader in sales and use tax consulting and implementation of enterprise level sales tax packages. We are committed to being the best in our field. Our expectations are high and top performance is demanded. Our work place is collegial. But teamwork here isn’t about lots of group meetings – teamwork here means that we rely on each other to get our part of a project done right. The pace of our growth creates opportunities for advancement and it demands that we are adaptable in changing circumstances to keep projects moving forward and client expectations at the fore. We respect a balance between work and leisure, but slackers don’t succeed here. We are dedicated professionals giving 100% every day. The Implementation Manager will be instrumental in the growth of our company over the next five years with a direct impact on our client service, staff development, and profitability. We need you to want this kind of intensity and reward.

The successful candidate will be an organized, self-reliant, problem solver who is self-directed and independent but also able to work as part of a team to reach a goal. We are looking for leaders who have demonstrated success at heading a team, growing and developing staff members while managing work and project flow. He or she can manage a transaction from its inception to its end, leading all design, integration, and configuration testing efforts and keeping track of every detail. This consultant position also requires superior interpersonal skills to foster positive client relations, including the ability to conduct trainings with clients.

Significant experience with large-scale, multi-team development efforts is a must, along with a deep understanding of and significant implementation experience of enterprise transaction processing systems, such as SAP or Oracle. Experience with sales tax systems such as Vertex or Sabrix make you uniquely qualified. Our growing client base is geographically dispersed requiring travel 30-40% of the time.

We offer a competitive compensation package including salary ($85,000 to $110,000), quarterly bonus potential, and commissions on new work sold as well as a benefits package including medical, 401(k), paid-time off, and flex-hours when appropriate.
